Date and time still TBC
This railtour will take you around the majority of the map minus the Backston – Chudleigh Line due to the length of the line.
Initially we will leave Gyles Mount headed for Dovey Junction, we will go to the end of the line and head back passing Gyles and we will then end up to Seaforth, passing Landfield, Moorsfoot and Barsea to then get some nice views on the sea. Look out as we pass Moorsfoot as there is the possibility of a passing train Underneath but not guaranteed to happen and isn’t planned nut may happen.
Once we reach Seaforth we will rest there for a few minutes before heading back to Renford freight yard via the Capchester tunnel providing views of the lake near Folkingham end. We then head from the freight yard to Renford Central istelf on a 15 minute journey approximately around the entire map then a short timing stop at Renford.
We then head from Renford Central to Minestow Freight Yard and then Gyles Mount where we have another 5 minute timing stop. From Gyles Mount we then head to the other side via Happard. We then go round the curve bypassing Barsea and head back to Gyles via Landfield. We have another planned timing break at Gyles.
Our last service will take us from Gyles to Fatherwell via Landfield, Barsea before passing through Bessbridge, Slatewell and then finally arriving into our Penultimate stop of Fatherwell. The train will wait at Fatherwell for 10 minutes for some photos and for everyone to de-board before returning ECS to to the depot.
The total journey time is approximately 2 hours and 26 minutes. Dates are TBC and the timetable will be posted upon announcement of the date. We hope to see you there.
